England national team manager Gareth Southgate is facing the wrath of disappointed fans over his recent admission of attempting to solve the team’s midfield crisis. This issue, fans argue, comes up despite having a few of the best midfielders in the team.
England are one of the favorites to lift the Euros 2024 in Germany. But two games into the tournament, and it seems that the team might even struggle to make it to the final stages of the competition, owing to unimpressive displays. After an unconvincing win against Serbia, the team managed only a 1-1 draw against Denmark. These underwhelming displays have sparked serious questions about some players and Southgate’s team selection.
These results have left fans miffed at the England side, as they criticized the manager and his strategies. Adding fuel to the fire, Southgate admitted in the post-match conference that he is trying to address several issues in the team’s midfield. These concerns arise despite having star midfielders like Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, both of whom performed poorly against Denmark. Moreover, the manager’s experiment of starting Trent Alexander-Arnold in the midfield, also seems to have backfired.
The fact he thinks the solution isn't on the team and hes missing something is alarming….. should be instantly fired

The English manager was also criticized for pushing a number of players out of position, including Kyle Walker and Alexander-Arnold. A win against Slovenia is crucial otherwise, it could further anger fans who have long lost faith in the England manager.
Fans criticized England’s manager Gareth Southgate for bringing up the team’s midfield issues at the Euros
Football fans and pundits took a dig at England manager Gareth Southgate for highlighting the team’s midfield dilemma following their disappointing draw against Denmark last night. Fans were baffled by his decision to stick with the same lineup that barely secured a win against Serbia.
While there have been repeated calls from fans to sack Gareth Southgate, England’s recent displays against Serbia and Denmark seemed to have put him into further trouble. Many fans believe that the team won’t succeed until he is replaced. A few others criticized him for supporting under performing players despite having numerous options.
Dull football. Excuses! While Germany, France and Spain play high paced attacking football. And we still think it’s coming home! No chance in a million years with that sort of play. Just dull and no energy at all. Zero passion.

When will he realise it’s not about the players it’s the quality of the system.

Argentina won the World Cup with Enzo, De Paul & Mac Allister none of which operate as true holding midfielders, they drilled their system which allowed them to rotate and cover.
YOU HAVE THE BEST MIDFIELDERS ENGLAND HAVE EVER HAD TO CHOOSE FROM. THE PROBLEM ISNT THE MIDFIELD GARETH.

This guy is a joker. How would you say you’ve been trying to find midfield solution for the past 8 years? Do you know the influx of English talents that have played in the midfield in those years? England is seriously not ready to win anything.

What exactly do “Kalvin” & “Hendo” do that Southgate is hell bent on them. If he wanted them that bad, he should have just picked them.

Experimenting once in a major tournament is unacceptable.
England won’t win anything with this clown in charge.
2 days back Eric ten hag was abused for saying a few comments about the previous match, I think we need to pay more attention.

Additionally, some fans highlighted Southgate’s inability to achieve optimal results despite having top midfielders in the squad. This includes Bellingham, Rice, Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer, and Kobbie Mainoo at his disposal.
