Garrett Wilson remains in a dilemma on whether to stick around with the New York Jets next season or find a new team to play for. Recent developments make it hard not to consider that the Jets might lose an elite wide receiver.

Naturally, the media pressed Wilson for an answer. They got one on Thursday after practice. Reporters asked the former first-round pick whether he would accept a long contract.

I don’t know, man. I’ll just figure it out—I’ll just do whatever. You know. Whatever. Go about my day. However, uh… be where my feet at. You know? And if they do [offer an extension], that would be a blessing.

Garrett Wilson said

On one hand, Wilson seems unsure of his future; on the other, he wouldn’t mind if the Jets gave him a new contract. However, he remains committed to winning the final three games.

I can’t be worrying about all that. Just go and finish these three games the right way. I don’t know, man. I can’t be looking into all of that right now.

Even though the Jets are 4-10, Wilson has had the best season of his career individually. After 14 games, he has 84 receptions for 933 yards and six touchdowns. He only needs a little over two hundred yards to surpass the 1103 yards from his rookie campaign.

Which teams are favorites to trade for Garrett Wilson?

There will be no shortage of trade partners if the Jets do walk on that path. Contender teams that are looking for a WR 1 will surely make moves to land the Ohio State graduate. ESPN’s Adam Schefter earlier hinted that there are talks behind the curtains about a possible trade developing, but which teams are favorites?

A surprising name has emerged as the front-runner for Wilson. As per Bovada official, the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the big favorites to land Garrett Wilson with +300. In close second, with +500 are the Houston Texans, followed by the Chicago Bears with +500 and the Baltimore Ravens with +600.

However, it will prove difficult to get Wilson out of New York. He is among the favorites of Woody Johnson, and he even threw away the chance to add Jerry Jeudy to keep Wilson at the Big Apple.

If any team intends to trade, then they have to at least part ways with a couple of high second-round draft picks in return.
