If you’re still not sure after looking at Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s Eagle FC’s EFC 44, yes, Henry Cejudo is the correspondent for the Russia based mixed-martial-arts promotion. Cejudo was doing octagon interviews for all the fighters of EFC 44. It seems like along with a successful fighter and coach, Cejudo can end up nailing the desk job as well.

Cejudo last fought in April 2020 when he became the first and the only person to knock out former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz to defend the bantamweight title. Cejudo then retired as the double champ of the UFC until now, when he has expressed his desires to fight for a third division belt by stepping up to featherweight and challenge Alexander Volkanovski, the current UFC champion. For Cejudo to get the title, he needs to prove that he is back for real and therefore there are news incoming that he is doing the necessary things to come out of retirement.

On his podcast titled “The Triple C and the Schmo” alongside co-host and sports journalist Dave Schmulenson aka The Schmo, Cejudo talked about what made him wear the high top shoes in Eagle FC‘s USA debut.

“Listen they gave me some options Schmo, they said ‘listen, man, you can wear little high top shoes or we’re gonna give you an apple box’… I actually ended up buying these shoes and I was like ‘you know what these shoes give me an extra two inches, I’m gonna go with the shoes,” said Cejudo.

What do you make of Cejudo’s “shoe-gate” at EFC 44? Do you like them on the former UFC double champ? How did you like Cejudo’s stint for a desk job? Also, do you want Cejudo to return? Who do you think is the ideal opponent for his return? Besides Cejudo being interested in a featherweight fight, fighters like interim-bantamweight champion Petr Yan have expressed their desire to fight the former double champion as well.
