Genie Bouchard‘s latest Instagram post did not sit well with tennis fans. The Canadian tennis player posted pictures of her wearing a bikini and doing yard work which has gone viral.
In that post she wrote, “Sundays are for yard work.” She was doing the yard work in her Miami home by raking the leaves and watering the grass, showing off her modeling skills by posing in a green two-piece.

Bouchard, who has not walked onto tennis courts for a long time, is into modeling as she doesn’t want to confine herself to tennis and desires to appear on magazine covers and believes playing tennis offers the ‘s*x appeal’ that she needs for her modeling career.

Bouchard is a former Wimbledon finalist, reaching the summit clash in 2014 (lost to Petra Kvitova), becoming the first Canadian to make it to a Grand Slam final. She is a former World No.5 in tennis but now plays pickleball.
Fans slam Genie Bouchard for her wearing a bikini while raking her garden
The Instagram post of Genie Bouchard has received mixed reactions from tennis fans. While some of them liked those pictures, those who criticized her opined that she could never be a role model for young fans.
A fan said Bouchard should officially announce her retirement from tennis now that she is too much into modeling. Some fans mocked her by writing that she looked like she had never raked leaves in her life, while a fan asked her to make her Instagram an ‘Only*ans’ account.

Apart from that 2014 Wimbledon, Bouchard has reached the semifinals of the Australian and French Open. In the US Open however she made it to just the fourth round. The 30-year-old has won just one title in singles and in doubles.
