The sprint dash of Kamisato Ayaka differs from those of the other characters in Genshin Impact. She, like Mona, has a distinct alternate sprint. Ayaka’s alternate sprint, unlike Mona’s, is one of the greatest in Genshin Impact. When she leaves her sprint, she can use her alternate sprint to traverse across water surfaces & apply cryo on foes.

She can also imbue her blade with Cryo for the following five seconds as she leaves her alternate sprint. This enables Ayaka to remain on the offensive at all times and cause huge Cryo damage to her opponents.

Kamisato Ayaka does have a natural advantage over such elemental opponents as a Cryo damage dealer. To begin, Ayaka excels in breaking the Electro, Hydro, & Pyro elemental shields of Abyss Mages & Abyss Heralds. Her alternate sprint aids her in dealing with the continual application of Cryo in order to quickly destroy the barrier.

Ayaka is powerful against opponents who are inherently imbued with Electro, Hydro, & Pyro elements, in addition to destroying shields. This includes enemies such as:

  • Rifthounds (Electro)
  • Hypostasis (Electro, Hydro, Pyro)
  • Specters (Electro, Hydro, Pyro)

Despite providing a distinct alternate sprint, Kamisato Ayaka does have a straightforward playstyle that players may quickly pick up. Her abilities have quick cast timings as well, making her suitable for rapid swap playstyles and combinations.

Kamisato Ayaka, as a Cryo DPS of Genshin Impact, shines brightest in mono-freeze or perma-freeze teams. She’s a wonderful replacement for Ganyu in creating a more modern Morgana lineup.

To do the most damage to foes, Kamisato Ayaka concentrates on her supercharged attacks and elemental burst. Her elemental burst does not one-shot opponents, unlike several other characters in Genshin Impact.
