George Kittle Doesn’t Mind Seahawks Players Smoking Cigars in Visiting Locker Room at All After Clinching No.1 Seed

George Kittle didn’t see any issue behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba smoking a cigar inside Levi’s Stadium on Saturday. Kittle may have joined Smith-Njigba if they were teammates.

Unfortunately, they were on opposing teams and thus had to own the spoils of defeat. Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers blew a great opportunity to secure the NFC West and the NFC number one seed. One can’t expect to win games by scoring just three points in four quarters. The game ended 13-3.

Kittle, who was doubtful before the game, caught 5 passes for 29 yards. In contrast, Smith-Njigba went 6 for 84 yards. The young wideout finished the year with 1793 yards on 119 receptions and 10 touchdowns.

He helped the Seahawks win 14 games for the first time in franchise history. An achievement like that definitely deserves to be celebrated with a cigar. Smith-Njigba lit one while speaking with reporters. Coincidentally, he had never tried one before.

Kittle, who earned his seventh Pro Bowl honors for racking up 57 receptions for 628 yards and 7 touchdowns, claimed that Smith-Njigba did nothing wrong. Kittle would’ve done the same if he were in Smith-Njigba’s position.

Cool… I would do the same sh*t. Yeah, I mean what? They won the division. They got the 1 seed. They won in a rival stadium. Good for them.

George Kittle eyes success in the playoffs with the 49ers

The loss pushed the Niners down to the fourth seed. Still, it’s impressive that they managed to win 12 games despite over 20 players dealing with injuries. Kittle also missed seven games due to an ankle injury and later endured soreness in his hamstring.

George Kittle is a fighter, and so are the 49ers. His focus has already shifted to the playoffs.

We have a whole new season ahead of us. Hopefully, we get Trent [Williams] back. That’s super helpful. Maybe Ricky [Pearsall]. I hate losing to the Seahawks, but we get to play football next week and whoever it is… go Cardinals.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba gets the better of Deommodore Lenoir

Smith-Njigba had a target on his back even before the kickoff. 49ers DB Deommodore Lenoir warned him that he would stick to him like his shadow. He said:

Hopefully, I get to shadow JSN [Jaxon Smith-Njigba]. I’m ready for this. I hope he’s ready. Man-to-man coverage. Me and him. That’s what I want.

Clearly, Smith-Njigba had the better of the Niners’ corner. ESPN’s Troy Aikman sounded impressed by the sheer dominance of the Ohio State graduate. Lenoir wasn’t too pleased with Aikman’s remarks. Lenoir wrote on Instagram:

Y’all think I give a f*** what Troy Aikman has to say. Clearly, his eyes rollin in the back of his head when the game is on. Y’all show me where 11 (Jaxon Smith-Njigba) gave me work. Post every route, every matchup.

However, Smith-Njigba had a mic-drop moment when asked about his matchup against Lenoir. He joked:

It’s hard to respond to all my fans.

Smith-Njigba has yet to score a touchdown against the Niners in six appearances. He has caught a total of 36 passes for 437 yards against the Seahawks’ division rivals.
