NFL icon George Kittle stopped by this week’s Raw in Nashville. But before the show got underway, he got into the ring with Penta during WWE’s taping of Main Event. The San Francisco fame sported a luchador mask to complement the former AEW star, whom the tight end labeled as his favorite wrestler back in 2020.
Kittle did his trademark first down-scoring gesture—a zero dropped into an M, with Penta. For the unversed, the said taunt is made famous by the Mexican wrestler himself that he does to embody “cero miedo,” which is Spanish for ‘no fear.’. The two basked in the adulation of a jam-packed Bridgestone Arena in the music city of the US.
It was a special moment for both. George’s first meeting with Penta happened in the fall of 2018. The tight end was in New Orleans for WrestleMania 34. During the same weekend, Kittle went to several WrestleCon events where he watched Penta wrestle on 5-6 occasions. That’s how the 39-year-old luchador captured the imagination of the 6x Pro Bowler.
Penta recently told Chris Van Vliet on Insight that Kittle came to meet him after that, and they became friends. The former AEW trios champion then yearned about working with 2-time first-team All-Pro in WWE. A week or so later, Penta got to share the ring with George.
A few days ago, Kittle spoke to Yahoo Sports‘s Jason Fitz. During the conversation, the 49ers player confirmed that he’ll be at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. The Wisconsin-born tight end even teased dipping his toes in WWE by quipping that the company’s CCO, Triple H, has his number. It’d be interesting to see if Kittle ends up wrestling one day.
How George Kittle’s previous WrestleMania appearance panned out?
George Kittle‘s love for pro wrestling knows no bounds. He’s been to a number of WWE shows in the past. But to pick one that’d probably stick with him for the rest of his life could be WrestleMania 39. Why’s that?

It’s because he got to lay his hands on The Miz. The A-Lister wasn’t elated to learn about his impromptu match with Pat McAfee, which was ratified by Miz’s Mania co-host, Snoop Dogg.
McAfee was pumped, and he went right after the former WWE Champion. At ringside, Miz shoved Kittle out of frustration. But the 8-time Intercontinental Champion got his receipt fairly soon. The 49ers’ jersey #85 clocked Miz with a clothesline. And eventually, The Awesome One succumbed to McAfee.
