George Kittle has revealed how his parents ended up attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish wedding after describing the celebration as a memorable family outing.
The San Francisco 49ers tight end discussed the July 3 wedding during a July 23 appearance on the Unbuttoned podcast. Kittle attended the ceremony in New York City with his wife, Claire, and their parents.
Kittle said the wedding was a memorable experience and explained how his family members received invitations. Swift had previously met Kittle’s parents and Claire’s mother at Tight End University, the event co-founded by Kittle and Kelce.
According to Kittle, in an interview with PEOPLE, Swift spent significant time with them during the event and formed a connection with them.
The entire thing was fantastic. I had so much fun. Travis likes Bruce a lot, but then the moms got invited because of Tight End U last year, where they hung out with Taylor for a long time. And she just really liked them. So that was kind of fun to have, like, a family outing at Madison Square Garden.

Kittle attended the wedding with Claire, while his parents, Bruce Kittle and Jill Krieger, were also present. Claire’s mother, Shelly Till, attended as well.
George and Claire later shared photos from the wedding on Instagram. The couple posted the images on July 5, including pictures from the celebration and photos with members of George’s family.
“It was a family affair. Congratulations on finding your exclamation point! JustT&T Married❤️ we love y’all!” they captioned the post.
Kittle had also spoken about the wedding before the ceremony. During the Tight Ends & Friends Concert Presented by Sports Illustrated and Reese’s in Nashville on June 23, he hinted that the event was approaching.
Despite being invited, Kittle and Claire revealed that they did not know where the wedding would take place. Kittle said he had asked Kelce about the venue but did not receive an answer.

Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, also reflected on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding during her Not Gonna Lie podcast.
Kylie congratulated the couple and said the wedding made official a relationship in which Swift had already become part of the Kelce family.
I would like to say congratulations to Tay and Trav. It was absolutely magical. I’m so happy for them, (and I) love them so, so dearly … (the wedding) was only making it official because Taylor’s been family now for quite some time.

Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding brought together members of their families and close friends, including Kittle and other celebrities like Tom Cruise, Selena Gomez, and Adam Sandler.
