Arman Tsarukyan has become one of the UFC’s most popular stars on social media despite not being the most active competitor inside the Octagon in recent years. He recently made headlines again following a post-match brawl with wrestling social media star Georgio Poullas after their match at RAF 06. In the aftermath, Poullas has now publicly called out the Armenian star.

Their bout at RAF 06 was tense from the start, with Tsarukyan and Poullas repeatedly slapping each other during aggressive hand-fighting exchanges. The Armenian contender built a points lead while Poullas secured a takedown late to close the gap. After the final whistle confirmed Tsarukyan’s decision win, he shot back at Poullas and slammed and punched him, sparking a post-match brawl, forcing security intervention.

Event staff and coaches worked to pull the teams apart amid clear animosity that had been building throughout fight week. In the lead-up, tensions were fueled by verbal exchanges, including Tsarukyan jokingly stating that Poullas should serve as his bodyguard if he lost. After the melee, Poullas was escorted out, visibly bloodied, and later issued comments while being treated in an ambulance.

Thank you guys, I hope you guys got some enjoyment out of the match tonight. Unfortunately, I was jumped but as you could see my sixty two year old dad and both my brothers came to my rescue and that’s the way we were brought up. We were outnumbered by like twelve Armenians and then they were running and fighting with me. If you guys watch the fight, I am the only one that got a takedown. He got pushed out by a couple of penalty points. I am still the champ baby.

This was not the first time Tsarukyan was struck during a non-MMA contest. At ACBJJ 20 in December 2025, he was hit in the head during his championship bout against Mehdi Baydulaev and responded by throwing a knee. The referee ruled the sequence a minor foul and allowed the match to continue without escalation. The Armenian star recovered from the incident and went on to win the ACBJJ All-Star Title.

Tsarukyan has faced continued scrutiny over disciplinary issues. At UFC 300, he punched a spectator during his walkout, drawing a nine-month suspension. He was also involved in a headbutt incident before his scheduled bout with Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar. Those incidents raised concerns about his dependability and led UFC CEO Dana White to exclude him from the interim title fight at UFC 324.

Georgio Poullas gained recognition through his $1,000 open challenge to anyone who could take him down, building a reputation around his defensive wrestling. That claim is now under scrutiny after Arman Tsarukyan completed a takedown at RAF 06 despite Poullas maintaining otherwise. The aftermath has divided the MMA community, with debate continuing over whether Tsarukyan’s actions were justified.

Arman Tsarukyan and Khamzat Chimaev have maintained a strong friendship over the years, frequently training together in multiple camps. Their partnership has extended into competition, with Tsarukyan present in Chimaev’s corner for his middleweight title win at UFC 319. Likewise, the Chechen star returned the support by cornering Tsarukyan during his comeback bout against Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar.

Chimaev is currently training in California for his return to the Octagon after a major knee surgery that has kept him sidelined since August 2025. During RAF 06, ‘Borz’ was seen smiling ear to ear as Arman Tsarukyan landed a punch on Georgio Poullas following his victory. His reaction reflected both amusement and support for his longtime training partner amid the chaotic post-match brawl.

Khamzat Chimaev has a history of being involved in physical altercations outside official bouts. Following UFC Qatar, he was involved in an altercation with Ian Garry during the post-fight period. The incident occurred after tensions flared backstage and required intervention from officials to separate the fighters. This pattern has reinforced Chimaev’s reputation and justified his reaction to Arman Tsarukyan’s brawl.
