The Greek forward having worked hard to reach wherever he is today it is quite obvious that his sincerity towards the hustle and game is real. Putting commendable efforts to bring his nation to the quest of the top 12 teams in the whole world, and leading his nation to the Olympics is indeed a big achievement for him.
Giannis Antetokounmpo shatters the Slovenian Olympic dream
After a fierce battle against Slovenia and Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Greek team eliminated Slovenia beating them 96-68 in the Olympic qualifiers. The Greeks further proceeded to match up against Croatia and finalize their spot in the Olympics.
Luka Doncic and the Slovenian basketball team proved their capabilities last year in the FIBA World Cup standing 4th in the race rising from scratch. But when the Greeks were matched against Doncic and his team, the Greeks proved victorious.
They played way better than us. They were way more aggressive,” Doncic said. “I think they have an amazing team. Obviously, they have Giannis. But other pieces are very important for them, too. And they’re very well-coached. … They outplayed us.

Despite leading the team, Luka Dončić’s dreams of competing in the Olympics this summer came to an end after losing to Greece. Although the Slovenians played hard and gave their best, Antetokounmpo and the Greeks shattered their opponents’ dreams to make the qualifier finals and eventually secure a spot for themselves.
