Following a rather slow start to the 2024-25 NBA season, the Milwaukee Bucks have gone on a six-game winning streak to overcome their 2-8 record. They will next be in action against the Atlanta Hawks in the semifinals of the NBA Cup, where they are also flying, in Las Vegas.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, the team’s superstar duo, have been instrumental in their comeback. Antetokounmpo expressed his renewed faith in the relationship he has developed with the former Trail Blazer following a chaotic first season together.

In a recent press conference, the Greek claimed that their ‘chemistry is at the best’ currently. A lot has been expected from the Bucks pair, especially considering the value they possess in the league and for their side.

Antetokounmpo has thrived as a paint scorer and pick-and-roll finisher thanks to Lillard’s exceptional playmaking, ball-handling, and long-range shooting abilities. The two now seem to complement each other on the court.

Ahead of the Bucks’ clash with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Cup semifinals, Damian Lillard had an upbeat tone. Although he acknowledged that he had no assurances of the Bucks improving their early-season performance, he remains in a positive frame of mind.
