Anthony Edwards has everything he needs to become the next ‘Face of the NBA’. However, his troubles with the mothers of his children have seen his name splash across news pages for all the wrong reasons.
The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar has been warned multiple times that his legal troubles with his baby mothers are the reason the NBA is holding itself back when trying to go on a full-fledged marketing campaign.
He currently has four children with four different women, and the last of them, Ayesha Howard, has demanded $500,000 along with an apology, child support, and additional payment every year.
Former Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas has faced this problem before. While speaking on his podcast ‘We Said What We Said’, he explained to his wife, Melli Monaco, how Edwards can fix the issue.
It’s going to be hard for Anthony Edwards to be the Face of the NBA because he has this entity with him. Anytime you get ready to blow up and be a part of America’s fate, this woman can dirty it up. Your name and image, and likeness is never safe. You are going to have to give this woman $10-20 million to go away.
Gilbert Arenas said
The former 3-time All-Star believes that even if Anthony Edwards were to pay Ayesha Howard the $500K she is demanding, she can come back for another amount a few months down the line.
Gilbert Arenas suggests that if Anthony Edwards aims to become the NBA's face like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, or Steph Curry, he should pay Ayesha Howard, Lil Baby's baby mama, $10-20 million to resolve any issues and avoid the brand getting dirtied pic.twitter.com/T11flfnlKE

This process, if it repeats, can keep maligning his name, and the national media are going to run with it. Those situations will end up undermining the Wolves star’s future.
Gilbert Arenas believes Anthony Edwards has to take this step if he wants to earn a billion
Gilbert Arenas has famously fought to reduce child support payments to his ex-wife, Laura Govan. When she demanded more, he figured out how to fight that, and thus, he has been labeled as one who knows how to manipulate the child support system.
In Anthony Edwards’ situation, the former Golden State Warriors star clarified that Ayesha Howard’s demands for a one-time payment of $500K, $55K annually, along with child support, will not hold up in court.
Courts will rule on child support, but the others are for her needs, which a judge would not agree to. That is because the legal system works to ensure the child gets the necessary funding.
That is why he believes Howard can come back and use the child support excuse to keep asking for more. Arenas wants Anthony Edwards to make a one-time payment, which will be good enough to keep Howard quiet for the rest of her life.
Otherwise, he could lose out on the chance to earn a billion dollars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and others do. This child support drama might spoil his chances of earning generational wealth.
Anthony Edwards and Timberwolves will look to play better than last season
Last season, after the way they dismantled the Los Angeles Lakers, many felt that Anthony Edwards and his Minnesota Timberwolves were NBA Finals bound.

A few weeks later, the same analysts were left dumbfounded by the way the Wolves collapsed against the eventual champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Most of the blame was placed on the 24-year-old’s shoulders after his no-shows cost them dearly. However, there were other problems as well, and the hope is that playing together for a full season will fix them.
The franchise did the right thing by re-signing its core players. With Edwards planning to do everything needed to be the best version of himself, the Wolves hope their continuity will help them take the next step next season.
