Basketball fans consider Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time. One of the most important factors that went into that notion is that he won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls while playing mostly alongside players who the team drafted.

Some argue that Scottie Pippen was an All-NBA player, therefore even if he was drafted, Jordan had help. Then there were Toni Kukoc and Dennis Rodman, who came in to be a part of the second three-peat squad.

The debate regarding Michael Jordan, LeBron James and the GOAT conversation has taken a heated turn over the past few weeks. On one hand, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar criticized media members for constantly berating current generation stars.

He believed the media were hypocritical, considering they did not follow this same method when they covered Jordan or anyone in that era. Instead, that era is celebrated. Some of the veteran journalists such as Bayless and Stephen A. Smith compare everyone in the NBA with players from that era.

After Smith slammed James’ criticism, Gilbert Arenas was sitting alongside him in the ESPN studios. He mentioned the very same thing James said about their hypocritical nature. That discourse has had a hand in the confrontation James had with Smith during a game.
