Stefanos Tsitsipas is celebrating his 26th birthday on August 12. Amidst wishes from his fans and players, his girlfriend Paula Badosa took to social media to share a heartfelt message.
Tsitsipas has been dating Badosa since last year and attracted a lot of attention from fans and the media, thanks to their public display of affection and the pictures and videos they frequently share. Some however blamed their relationship for lackluster shows on the court, as Tsitsipas’ performances were not up to the mark and critics felt he was distracted.
Badosa, on the other hand, has been dealing with back stress problems. Amidst everything, they broke up in May this year and a few weeks later, they confirmed that they were still together. As they are still together, Badosa shared three romantic pictures to wish him on his birthday.

Stefanos Tsitsipas once revealed it was he who decided to end his relationship with Paula Badosa
After they “amicably” parted ways and later confirmed their relationship again, Stefanos Tsitsipas explained why he chose to end things with Paula Badosa. He revealed the pressure of being in a relationship while playing tennis took a toll on him.
Paula didn’t do anything wrong, nor did I do anything wrong. It was hard for us being apart and I was going through some hard times too. I would say that I didn't manage it very well either, because I was feeling the pressure of the tour, of my work. It seemed like a mountain to combine these two, and I made the decision to take a break.Stefanos Tsitsipas told Greek journalist Vicky Georgatou (via Tennis Channel)
Tsitsipas added that he realized later how being with Badosa felt was “different” than his previous relationships. He called the Spaniard his type of “person” who supported him a lot. Badosa, at a press conference, also said she and Tsitsipas have decided to keep their relationship out of the public eye, unlike last year.
Tsitsipas is set to play his first match at the Cincinnati Open against Jan-Lennard Struff on August 13. Badosa is also in Cincinnati, and will also kick-start her campaign on August 13 against America’s Peyton Stearns. Before Cincinnati, Badosa, and Tsitsipas played at the Canadian Open but lost to Jelena Ostapenko and Kei Nishikori respectively.
