Giulia is a world-class professional wrestler who has performed all over the world. She was most famous for her stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where she debuted in 2020. Her contract with the company expired in 2024, and as many fans expected, she made her way to WWE shortly after.

Signing with WWE meant that the Japanese superstar had to shift to the United States permanently. The 30-year-old currently performs on the NXT brand, which emanates weekly from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida. In a recent post on X, she expressed her fondness for her new city.

Giulia made a huge mark on the professional wrestling world when she made her WWE debut at NXT: No Mercy. In the penultimate match of the night, Roxanne Perez successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker. However, she had no time to celebrate as the former NJPW star made her entrance to confront the champion shortly after the match ended.

The succeeding episode of NXT featured Roxanne Perez cutting a promo about her victory. However, Chelsea Green interrupted the champion, claiming that she was the #1 contender for her title. This statement did not go down well with the Japanese professional wrestler, who made her entrance and laid out the Canadian. Furthermore, she is now set to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship on the show’s debut episode on CW.

Bully Ray talks about Giulia’s potential in WWE and what she needs to improve

The whole wrestling world was talking about Giulia’s impressive debut in WWE, including Hall of Famer Bully Ray. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the wrestling legend revealed his reaction to the former NJPW star’s debut, her potential in WWE, and what she needs to work on.

Bully Ray believed that WWE had done a great job of introducing the 30-year-old to their widespread audience. However, he did not feel that she had already established herself as the future of the WWE women’s division.

I wasn't expecting better from her because of where she came from. You can't expect somebody who's spent time in Japanese wrestling companies to come here and master the WWE style," Bully said. "I thought she did a good job. I think Chelsea helped get her there. Would I have liked to see more emotion from Giulia? Yes

Ray said that it took time to adapt to the WWE style after coming from a Japanese wrestling company. This was especially evident when she did not recognize the cheers of the audience for her at NXT Stand & Deliver and thought that they were for The Rock. However, WWE had done a great job presenting her, and at the end of the day, wrestling is all about smoke and mirrors.
