Potential Henry Cejudo vs Max Holloway
Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo is back in the spotlight after he asked for a bout with Max Holloway. Cejudo surprised everyone when he announced his retirement at UFC 249 after defeating Dominick Cruz and retaining his bantamweight belt back in 2020.
Ever since his retirement Cejudo has been hunting for a comeback fight, even as early as late 2020 Cejudo was ready to return to the octagon for the right price. It seems like sitting still on the sidelines isn’t something Cejudo can do. He is itching to get into the Octagon with current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. However, there could be sometime before Cejudo gets a crack at Alexander.
Currently the Champion is set to fight “The Korean Zombie” Chang Sung Jung at UFC 273, though originally the Main Card was supposed to be between “The Great” and Max “Blessed” Holloway. Due to a injury sustained by the latter, he had to withdraw and when the news came out ,all hell broke loose, with several fighters trying to land the now empty spot. One of them was of course Henry Cejudo. Dana White had other plans though, who shut down the proposal almost instantaneously and asked him to fight other contenders

Whom else would Henry Cejudo choose but Max Holloway, knowing very well if he wanted a shot at the title he must defeat Holloway first. Holloway is currently under recovery which would be a match made in heaven because Cejudo has to take 6 months of USADA Drug testing before he can actually get in the Octagon again and who knows this might be the No.1 contenders fight.
For the time being, Henry shows interest in training Jorge Masvidal after having watched his crushing defeat against Colby Covington.He believes he can make “The Gamebred”s career if he chooses to do so.
