Glover Teixeira will be taking on Jan Blachowicz at UFC 266 in September for the UFC lightweight title. The 41-year old Brazilian is surely living his dream. This will be Glover Teixeira’s second shot at the light-heavyweight title, after having fought Jon Jones at UFC 172.
Taking to Twitter, a pleased Glover Teixeira announced that hard work always pays off and that he was happy and ready for the 4th of September. The number 1 ranked UFC light-heavyweight earned the right to challenge Blachowicz after notching up 5 wins in a row.

Glover Teixeira is coming off a submission victory against the dangerous Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night : Teixeira vs Santos in November, last year. Prior to that, the Brazilian had beaten Anthony Smith via TKO. Teixeira will be looking forward to keeping the momentum when he takes centre stage on the 4th of September.
His opponent Jan Blachowicz, on the other hand just beat Israel Adesanya at UFC 259, thereby stopping the Nigerian from becoming a two-division champion. The Super Pole won the light-heavyweight title last year at UFC 253, beating Dominick Reyes via. a devastating punch, after Jon Jones had earlier vacated the belt.
