Recently, the WCW icon shared his thoughts on the state of WWE, and revealed which superstars have impressed him the most with their performances over the past few years.

Speaking on The Claw podcast, the former Universal Champion named Seth Rollins as the superstar who has shown the most growth over the past decade. Goldberg also praised Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, noting that both were doing an incredible job. He highlighted their strong wrestling lineage and emphasized that they are continuing to elevate their legacies through their recent performances.

Seth’s grown so much in this business over the past 10 years. Randy Orton’s obviously Randy frickin’ Orton. The lineage speaks for itself. Cody Rhodes, he’s done unbelievable in the past. Logan Paul. Steiner’s kid (Bron Breakker), frickin’ doing unbelievable.

Moreover, the WWE Hall of Famer also praised Logan Paul, noting how he has surprised everyone with his impressive in-ring performances. The 58-year-old further expressed confidence in WWE’s future, naming Bron Breakker as a potential cornerstone of the Stamford-based promotion. Goldberg believes the product will continue to improve, given the promising direction the company is currently heading in.

Furthermore, the WWE legend shared that he has remained in constant contact with Breakker ever since the young star stepped into a WWE ring. He and the Raw star regularly discuss the product and ongoing storylines, and over time, they’ve developed a strong friendship outside the ring. With that said, it will be interesting to see if the two eventually share the ring in WWE later this year.

Speaking on The Claw podcast, the former Universal Champion revealed that he wants his son to accompany him during his final entrance. The WCW legend shared that his return to the WWE ring was inspired by his son in the first place, making it only fitting to have him by his side for his last match in professional wrestling.

There is one thing that I can say about my match, and that is that uh, uh, I will be proudly led out by my son.

Goldberg has previously stated that he wants his final match to take place in the southern United States, specifically in Atlanta, Georgia. Interestingly, WWE is scheduled to host Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta on July 12, which has fueled speculation that the show could serve as the stage for the legend’s farewell match in the Stamford-based promotion.

Goldberg to face Gunther in his last match in WWE?

There has been plenty of buzz surrounding who could be Goldberg’s final opponent in WWE. Names like Bron Breakker and even John Cena have been floated as ideal choices for the legend’s last match. However, it appears that WWE may have already mapped out the path for the icon’s final dance.

Gunther could very well be Goldberg’s final opponent in WWE. The company has already teased the tension between the two during their confrontation at Bad Blood. The Ring General boldly claimed that he would relish the opportunity to embarrass the WWE Hall of Famer in front of his son, if given the chance.

Although WWE hasn’t revisited this angle since Bad Blood, now that Goldberg is preparing for his finale, the rivalry could be reignited once again. A clash between The Ring General and the WCW icon would make for an incredible battle between two heavyweights.
