Golden State Warriors will not make it into playoffs as per Shaquille O’Neal
The Golden State Warriors are undoubtedly missing their marquee player Klay Thompson. Having said that, Stephen Curry is doing an exceptional job with leading the youngsters in their roster. With 2 wins out 4, Warriors were genuine title contenders with their full strength. Being the most dominant team in the last decade, Warriors have not even had Draymond Green’s service in the 2020-21 season so far.
Former NBA Champion, Shaquille O’Neal feels that Golden State Warriors will not be able to make it into the playoffs this season. Given how much Stephen Curry has to struggle, the question Shaq is referring to is how long can Curry continue to lead the young Dubs in such a form?
Will Golden State Warriors make it into the playoffs?
After Shaquille O’Neal named Golden State Warriors as the team that would not be in the playoffs. Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith disagreed – “When Draymond comes back, they are going to be in the conversation.”
Another team that popped up in the conversation was the Memphis Grizzlies. Their talisman Ja Morant is out injured, and it could severely hamper their chances.
“If he missed three to five weeks, they could be out of it,” said Barkley.
While he also crossed out several other teams from the Eastern Conference for making the Playoffs – “Detroit, Chicago, and Charlotte are not going to make the playoffs this year.”
“When you bring in Chris Paul, you expect to do better. But nobody expected the Cavs, the Magic, and the Hawks to be 3-0 and 4-0. Cos when you bring in a great leader like Chris Paul to go with Booker and Ayton. And then you bring in Jae Crowder, they are supposed to be good and make the Playoffs.”
If Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr and James Wiseman come anywhere near Klay Thompson’s form, they certainly can be a powerhouse against any big star-studded squad. As the season continues, let’s see how far will Stephen Curry be able to guide them in this season?
