“Justin Thomas has become the little brother I never had” – Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas

Ace golfer Tiger Woods has opened up on his special bond with another Tour star from The United States of America, Justin Thomas. The duo recently met at the 2021 PNC Championship at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.

Tiger is almost 18 years senior to the 2017 and 2020 PGA Player of the Year. Interestingly, the Californian golfer had won 14 of his 15 major titles by the time Thomas began his professional journey. However, they developed a strong relationship over the years and never shy away from expressing this in front of the media.

The 28-year-old golfer also used to share all the latest health updates on Woods’ road to recovery after last year’s fatal car accident. In one of his recent interviews, Thomas said:

“He’s still his sarcastic a-hole self, so nothing’s really changed there. So I’m glad to see he’s as chipper as always.”

During the press conference, Woods revealed that his family is quite close to Justin as his son is like a younger brother to the Kentucky-born. Similarly, he mentioned that “Justin has become the little brother he never had”.

“We get a chance tomorrow to play with the Thomas’s, which are like our second family. We’ve become so close that I think Charlie’s like Justin’s little brother he never had, and Justin has become the little brother I never had.”

“We are extremely close with the family and we do a lot of things together, and to be able to have that experience tomorrow again,” he added.

Coming to the result of the tournament, the pair of Tiger and his son Charlie finished second, a position ahead of Justin’s team. The team of John Daly and his son John Daly II, who finished at 27 under par, won the PNC Championship.
