It’s always a highlight of my year playing here. I love this track, and I love this event It’s my favorite event I play on tour, so I’m so thankful to be a sponsor’s invite this week and get the chance to have another go around Riviera

A reason why the former Masters champion likes the event is because he feels right at home in Southern California because as it reminds him of Australia. The eucalyptus trees, the grass, and even the weather feel similar to him.

The Kikuyu grass on Riviera’s fairways can be challenging for many players. It’s thickness often causes the shots of the players to go wide of their intended target. However, Scott is no stranger to this type of grass, as it’s commonly found in Australia. This familiarity might be one of the reasons why he has been so successful at Riviera.
