Golfing legend Tiger Woods is back in action. Following his knee injury in April, he will now be back at the golf course, following the Hero World Challenge next week. There are some fans, though, who are wondering how much longer the golf veteran can last on the pitch following his car crash two years ago in 2021.
In February 2021, the 82-time PGA Tour winner was involved in a major crash in California. This development shocked the whole sporting world, as well-wishes and messages of safe and quick recovery started to flood the internet.

His friend Alex Rodriguez, along with his ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, were among those who led the prayers for his betterment.
Rodriguez had been in close touch with Woods and had even played golf with him. He would call him a “brother” and take to his Twitter (now called X) account to write:
Praying for my brother @TigerWoods as well all anxiously wait more news. Thinking of him and his entire family.Alex Rodriguez wrote on X
Meanwhile, ski queen Lindsey Vonn would also wish him well. Despite their breakup, the two remained friends and remained in touch. She would take to her social media and write:
Praying for TW right now.
This love and support from some of his close friends was valuable to Woods who would later undergo a successful leg surgery and make an epic return to the golf course later on.
Tiger Woods’ career after horrific car crash in 2021
Every athlete goes through the highs and lows of their career. It was no different for Tiger Woods, as he went through a low in the years after conquering the golfing world. Woods’ career biggest blow though was this car crash.
The five-time Masters champion would later react to this accident and admit that he would not be playing full-time now. Since that incident, Woods has managed to appear in just five events. His former Ryder Cup rival, Colin Montgomerie, claimed that he should have retired at the 2022 Open Championship and put an end to his career.

This year, the 47-year-old took part in two events. His appearance at the Genesis Invitational and the Masters was the only time fans got to enjoy it before another injury surfaced. He had to take his name out and withdraw from the Masters at Augusta National in April.
It will be interesting to see how Woods performs at the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. Fans are hoping that he can sign off from golf on his own healthy terms whenever he wants.
