Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have had quite the bitter feud over the last few months. Both of them have interesting personalities, and strong ones for sure. Each of them has their points to make, and they will make sure that their points do not go unheard. Their feud went public and has been at the centre of attention ever since.

However, on a recent Q and A on Instagram he spoke about the issue. While promoting his team Smash GC on LIV Golf, the previous world no. 1 said that him and DeChambeau have made up since then. “Believe it or not, we squashed it,” said Koepka. “We’re good. I actually talk to him quite frequently because of what’s going on here at LIV.”

“Pretty much on an every-other-day basis. So, we’ve got a good open line of communication. We’ve figured it all out, and we’re good.” The story about what went down between DeChambeau and Koepka is a long one, and it dates all the way back to 2019 at the famous Dubai Desert Classic.

It happened as a video of Koepka was released. In the video he seemed visibly annoyed at Bryson DeChambeau because the latter was playing too slow. Since then things have been sour between the both of them, and things started to get personal.

The feud at the time continued to get heated and simmered on quite a bit. Until one day when the lid just went off and both golfers found themselves in a tizzy. Wherever DeChambeau went, all he heard were taunts of “Brooksy”. Things took a turn for the worse when Koepka started offering free beer to those who were bold enough to mock Bryson DeChambeau.

The first time that it seemed that things might have calmed down was at the 2021 Ryder Cup. It was at that time that emotions were high as US picked up their victory over Europe. The pair was seen hugging, and all seemed to be on the right track. Things got even better soon after, as both of them joined LIV Golf in 2022.

“Obviously, watching him up close and personal is pretty neat, pretty special to watch him hit the ball,” Koepka said afterward. “Like I said, there is respect there, but at the same time it was fun to come out here and settle this.”  Its all well now, and the fight is over as the two players unite over golf once again.
