The 2021 WM Phoenix Open champion was seen to be visibly struggling to defend his title at the 2022 edition of the event. The episode on Full Swing describes and documents the great downfall of Brooks Koepka, once touted as one of the greatest prospects from the PGA Tour.

Brooks Kopeka has won four majors from 2017 to 2019, and his current dry spell led the current LIV golfer to use swear words to describe his performance. Koepka admits that winning is now like a ‘life and death situation for him. He says, “Winning is an addiction, man. Let’s just say it’s life and death. That’s how I think of it…When I was playing my best, I’m not a big stats guy, but I know I was the best inside 8 feet during that whole stretch. And now, I’m probably the worst.”

Koepka joined LIV Golf in 2022 and debuted for the new rival circuit in Portland. He won his first LIV tournament at the Golf Invitational in Jeddah, where he competed in a playoff over Peter Uihlein. Since his shift to LIV Golf, he has also had to face the repercussions like the other players, a banishment and suspension from the PGA Tour.

Koepka will return to the course this Friday as LIV Golf returns for its second season in Mayakoba, Mexico. Fans are still hopeful that 2023 might be a redemption year for the golfer to regain his form and winning streak.
