“I’m not going to keep Turner in limbo”: Charles Barkley fails to receive offer from LIV Golf after Pro Am tee off
Charles Barkley
The LIV Golf Series is slowly catching momentum and as more golfers begin to tee up with the Series, the latter is now beginning to attract those working around them as well. The latest news came from Charles Barkley, who flirted with the idea of joining the LIV Golf Series if he got an offer from the CEO- Greg Norman. However, this meant that he would be leaving ‘Inside the NBA’ on TNT- news which fans did not take well to at all.
However, Barkley had made it clear that he needed an offer on time because he did not want to leave either of the sports in limbo. He has been in talks with the LIV Series over the last week, but had said that, “When I leave New Jersey Thursday night, when I leave the golf course, if I don’t have an offer in hand, it’s over.” Barkley recently teed off at the LIV Golf Pro Am at the third event of the series at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

Charles Barkley yet to receive an offer from LIV Golf
“No, they haven’t offered me anything,” Barkley said to Golf Week after Thursday. “My number one priority is Turner, and I’m not gonna keep Turner in limbo. So that’s my priority. They’ve given me everything I have,” he emphasised. Barkley enjoyed his first LIV Series experience this week, and was curious to see what the crowd was like. However, he is unsure about whether he will be there for the weekend.
“I’ve got friends on both tours, it was great to see some of my friends I haven’t seen in a minute like Brooks, Bryson, Pat Perez, I wish these guys great success,” Barkley explained. “I’m gonna support LIV, I’m gonna support the PGA Tour. But like I say, as of now, I don’t know anything. I haven’t been asked anything. I wish I could give somebody an answer, but I don’t know anything.”
