While the whole world has eyes on the Presidents Cup, Tiger Woods‘ son Charlie Woods was busy plying his trade at Notah Begay III Junior National Golf Championship which is taking place in Florida.

However, it was a Sunday for the Charlie Woods to forget as he shot a career-low four-under-par 68. Despite his dad and legendary golfer Tiger beside him caddying for the young golfer, he finished the day tied for fourth place in his age division (12-13) during a 36-hole qualifier.

“When I hit (the approach), I knew it was good,” Charlie Woods said. “When it started trickling down, I knew it was going to be close, but not that close.”

After his below-par performance, the 13-year-old revealed that his dad told him to be patient and stay calm and play steady.

“Dad told me to stay patient. I just played steady golf,” Charlie Woods added. “I couldn’t have done it without him. For some shots, I would’ve been so off. He steered me on the right course.”

The last couple of years has been a roller coaster for the young Woods as he has been making his name in the golfing world. The teenager has proved in the past that he is his father’s clone at the PNC Championship.

Keeping their similarities in mind, the PGA Tour last year just before the PNC Championship had to record and compare the duo in a supercut video, which went viral in no time.

Before the 2021 tournament, Tiger was shown clips from the compilation. “Two things that stick out: the timing of the twirls and the pick up of the tee,” he said, according to Yahoo! News. He also observed how he and Charlie touch their noses: “We both have allergies so we both struggle on the golf course. We get wind blowing and we’re both sniffing.”
