The stories of Donald Trump and golf seem to have no end. The former United States President has huge admiration for this sport and can be seen playing it on several occasions. This has often led to many criticizing him. Presidential candidate Chris Christie has now blasted him for this obsession.

The 45th President of the United States has not been shy of expressing his love for golf and proudly owns several courses around the world. With him now running for the 2024 Presidential election, there has been some firing on him.

Christie, a political opponent of Trump has now attacked him. The Republican candidate claimed that he spends more time worrying about his golf game than his country.

The guy spends more time playing golf and sitting in a tuxedo at Mar-a-Lago than he does worrying about the concerns and the problems of this country.

While this point by Christie can be seen as a political statement, a report from the Seattle Medium works out in his favor. As per the outlet, Trump spent 307 days during his presidency playing golf. It is also said to be the most golf outings of any President in history.

This number is likely to have been increased following the end of his tenure. Recently he was spotted at one of his courses playing alongside Republican Senator Lindsey Graham while listening to music at high levels.

Donald Trump’s former course set to change its name

Golf is one of the most popular sports around the world. Several renowned names have been spotted playing a round or two in their free time. The same has been true for Donald Trump who is a massive golf lover.

Apart from just playing golf, he also owns several courses across the globe. He has purchased and sold many courses in his life. One of his former courses now seems to be going through a massive development as it’s name is about to be changed.

In September 2023, the US politician sold one of his courses in The Bronx. The course was previously called the “Trump Links“. As per reports from the NY Post, the name ‘Bally’ will now replace the name of Trump from this and will be called “Bally Links“.

Bally’s controlling owner Soo Kim has thanked the Trump Organization for their involvement in this process. He also expressed his gratitude for the way the course was preserved by Trump and his team over the years.
