After a 12-year absence from the world of golf, three-time PGA Tour winner Anthony Kim came back and joined LIV Golf. Ever since his disappearance from golf, many had been wondering whether addiction played a part in it.
Kim was last seen during the Wells Fargo Championship in 2012. He would withdraw from the event due to an Achilles injury. However, he would never return to the PGA Tour again after this. The 38-year-old golfer recently opened up about his absence in an interview with David Feherty on LIV Golf Plus.

I’m not going to lie, I was around some bad people. People that took advantage of me. Scam artists. And when you’re 24 or 25, even 30 years old, you don’t realize the snakes that are living under your roof.
Anthony Kim said.
Kim also spoke on his multiple injuries and surgeries. According to reports. Kim was said to have collected around $10-$20 million from the disability insurance policy.
I know public perception is that I took this money and ran and decided I was just going to hang out. That wasn’t the case at all. I had multiple, multiple surgeries in a few years.
Anthony Kim said.
In his first appearance since 2012, Kim shoot a score of 16-over 226 and finished last in the LIV Golf Jeddah event, leading him to criticize his own performance. He is though confident that he can once again compete with the best players from around the world.
