The LIV Golf Series has caused its fair share of controversy since its inception. It has now made the limelight once again, as the third event is being held at Trump’s Bedminster Golf Course. But the trouble was not only for the series, but also for Donald Trump who may be in violation of federal law. During the LIV Golf event being held in Trump’s backyard at New Jersey, the former President was seen utilising the Presidential Seal on a number of different objects.
The seal was printed on a variety of objects, including towels, golf carts, and other stuff. It is a violation of federal law to use the Presidential or Vice-Presidential seals in a manner that would provide “a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States.” Those who break this legislation face the possibility of being sentenced to “not more than six months” in jail, a fine, or both, in practice, these forms of punishment are rarely handed out.

The Washington Post stated that the insignia was printed on various products such as towels, golf carts, and other items on the day that Trump competed in the pro-am of the tournament that was sponsored by Saudi Arabia. Forbes correspondent Zach Everson made the announcement in a tweet thread that was published in June that four of Trump’s golf clubs had been accused of improperly exploiting the presidential insignia.
In October, Trump’s golf course in the Bronx was found to be involved, and then in November, Trump’s Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida was found to be involved. In the month of June, the presidential seal was also observed at the Trump International Golf Club, which is located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
