You just can’t keep Donald Trump out of the news. The former USA President loves to be in the limelight and mostly he is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Earlier this year, controversial LIV Golf and its CEO Greg Norman got its backing from none other than Trump himself.
LIV Golf and PGA Tour have divided opinion since the rebel league came into the existence. Although the cash-rich league has been able to seduce a number of top professional golfers – critics have come heavily on them.
However, a number of important US members, including Donald Trump, the former president, have endorsed LIV Golf. His active participation in the LIV Golf events had already shown support for the controversial league.

Donald Trump wanted PGA Tour and LIV Golf to join hands
Trump had been pretty vocal about his backing for the Saudi-backed league and has also insisted PGA to join hands together for the good of the sport. LIV Golf and its business with Saudi Arabia have also been promoted several times by the former US president.
Earlier in June, during the early days of LIV – Trump insisted all the top golfers to swap their loyalties and join the Saudi league. “All of those golfers that remain ‘loyal’ to the very disloyal PGA, in all of its different forms, will pay a big price when the inevitable MERGER with LIV comes, and you get nothing but a big ‘thank you from PGA officials who are making Millions of Dollars a year,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday.
“If you don’t take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger takes place, and only say how smart the original signees were.”
In addition to the Trump National Golf Clubs in Charlotte and Colts Neck, the former president owns several other golf courses as well. His golf courses have already hosted a number of LIV Golf events. Greg Norman, CEO of LIV, actually designed the Trump National Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
