The world of golf has been left divided ever since the inception of the LIV league. Founded by one of golf’s great Greg Norman, the LIV Golf has the backing of Saudi Arabia. It has taken the world by storm with many big names joining the breakaway league and have left the PGA behind. Recently, golfer Eugenio Chacarra was seen singing the praises of the league. While promoting it he said that it is one of the “best spot” to newly turned professional golfers.

The Spainard himself has walked down a similar route. While attending the Oklahama State University, he was a part of the All American first team. He even finished second in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Chacarra would later give up the senior year and take golf as a job while joining the LIV Golf.

He would make his first impression as a professional golfer at the Portland. Chacarra would then go on to show-off his skills and lessons as he won the LIV Golf Bangkok and earned a cash prize of $4 million. As a matter of fact this was just his fifth major tournament start – coming at a young age of just 22.

He now believes that he has made the right choice in his career. He would let go of the chance to appear at the Korn Ferry Tour of the PGA. Chacarra feels that the top prospects should take his lead and join the Greg Norman’s established league instead of the traditional PGA.

Its going to be hard to get the top ranking players. There’s always an option. I feel like the LIV Golf is the best spot to go after college, just not because of the money. But like what people are saying, everything is talking about money and money and money, and i get tired of that. I feel like we are playing against the best players in the world. We want to beat them. We want to learn from them,” Chacarra explained his opinion.

One of the major differences between the LIV Golf and PGA is the format of play and the number of rounds. Chacarra mentioned that he enjoys the team format more than the individual ones. The 23-year-old is a part of the Fireballs GC which is led by Sergio Garcia. The other two members of the team are Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz.

A major reason which could see the LIV Golf fail to attract some top players is the allotment of Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points. Players who participate in LIV Golf events do not receive this points. A few days ago, Talor Gooch saw his rankings take a hit despite winning two back-to-back LIV events. CEO Greg Norman has assured others that an application has been filed for it. It remains to be seen whether his request will be heard or not.
