The recent Golf US Open was an exciting one to say the least, with Matt Fitzpatrick walking away as the winner of the tournament. Yet, things didn’t go as smoothly for some others- Grayson Murray to be more specific. Murray had a tough time at the US Open, and the immense pressure of golf seemed to get to him. After a frustrating quadruple bogey, Murray went ahead and threw his putter into the nearby grass. However he faced another massive meltdown at hole 9, this time breaking the club over his knee.
Paige is an American YouTube golf instructor with over 260,000 subscribers and 3.3 million instagram followers. Spiranac has played division 1 golf, and has won honours over the 2012–13 and 2013–14 season. Needless to say, she knows a lot about golf and how frustrating it can be sometimes- as she addressed the issue that Murray faced at the US Open.

Grayson Murray respond’s to Paige Spiranac’s tweet
In her tweet, Spiranac first went ahead and congratulated Fitzpatrick for taking the Open. However, she shifted her focus to the other big story of the week. She talked about Grayson Murray’s frustration, saying that she too could relate to his problems. “I have thrown my fair share of clubs,” she said jokingly with a caption, ‘Love a good club throw’.
“Let’s see your club throw Paige,” Murray tweeted in response to Spiranac’s video, which was captioned, “Love a good club throw.” Spiranac had also posted a video of Murray’s throw on Twitter, captioned “I have thrown a club like this before and it feels great until the walk of shame of having to get it.”
