Greg Norman is one of the most popular figures in the golfing world. The Australian International currently working as the CEO of LIV Golf, has demonstrated his skills and knowledge of the course very well. He has now been honored with the “Best Golf Course Designer of the Year Award” beating the likes of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.

The Aussie currently owns the Greg Norman Golf Course Design. This firm is recognized around the world as a premier firm that has featured and designed over 100+ golf courses across several countries. Needless to say, this played a huge part in his winning this prestigious honor at the World Golf Awards 2023.

There is no doubt that the “Great Shark” has already devised a plan using his visionary mind for the upcoming events. The league has hired Lawrence J. Burian as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LIV Golf. With him and Norman at the helm, the 54-hole circuit could snatch a few more awards in the future.

LIV Golf wins two honors at 2023 World Golf Awards

When it comes to golf, the LIV Golf has been completely different than others. The breakaway tour follows a different format compared to other tours including the PGA Tour. While they might be slammed by fans on social media, the league has now won two awards at the 2023 World Golf Awards, signaling their rise in the sport.

The LIV Golf Adelaide, the inaugural Australian event was named the “World’s Best Golf Event of the Year 2023“. This event saw plenty of great moments including the ace by Chase Koepka at the watery hole. Talor Gooch would eventually walk away as the winner of the event.

The second award they won was a little self-explanatory. They were named as the “World’s Best Golf Innovation.” While the LIV Golf celebrates two triumphs on this grand stage, there is a catch on this.

At first, fans were left stunned to hear them win the Best Event of the Year award. However, it was later informed that there were no other nominees in both the awards they won. While it might be anti-climatic, these two awards do give credit for the efforts they have poured in.
