The LIV Golf Series has been facing the fire since its inception- causing a fair share of controversy. When golfer Brooks Koepka made the switch, people were surprised. The move was an unexpected one, especially when Koepka was at the top of his game at the PGA Tour.

However, there have been recent rumours floating around that Koepka is having buyer’s remorse. Reportedly, the golf star wishes to go back to the PGA Tour once again. Initially Koepka had turned down the offer given by LIV Golf, but later took a higher price to secure his place on the Series.

Alan Shipnuck said that he had heard comments about Koepka wanting to leave the LIV series. Koepka went all in for the big seven figure sum, but now he feels like he needs to rethink his career choice- especially after the inaugural season of LIV.

Shipnuck tweeted, “I’m hearing a lot of rumblings that Brooks Koepka has buyer’s remorse. He took the money when his brittle body was still being put back together, and in private he has confided to folks he wasn’t sure if he would ever get fully healthy again. But now Koepka is feeling frisky and supposedly rethinking his career choice.”

However these rumours were immediately smacked down by Greg Norman’s son. Greg Norman Jr. replied to the tweet, saying that the rumour was absolutely false. Eddie Pepperel also shared quite the thought about this latest news that he has come across.

“If (and I’m sure this is just rumour-ville shit) LIV’s biggest star (arguably), wanted to come back to play PGAT this soon, that sends a dire message about LIV. If the PGAT allowed him back, I’m sure it wouldn’t be long before others followed suit.. so LIV would be done, IMO.”

The fight of the LIV Golf Series does not end at all. The tour has introduced its second season, with new teams and fresh faces. There will be 14 events over the span of the season, with 8 of them being in USA. The fresh new format of golf might be something to watch out for.
