Harold Varner ATTACKS Golf website for sensationalizing the press conference

Harold Varner III
LIV Golfer Harold Varner III slammed the golf website “Golf Digest” on Twitter when they tried to sensationalize the American golfers’ press conference with a fancy caption.
Harold Varner is currently playing at the LIV Golf invitational event in Jeddah after deciding to choose the rebel league ahead of the PGA Tour earlier this year. Earlier in February, the 32-year-old golfer won the Saudi International at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club with PGA Tour.
However, Varner revealed that since the day he joined the controversial league, – which returns to the same course this Friday – he has become “hated”.

Harold Varner compared PGA Tour to dysfunctional family

“I’ve thought about it a lot. It got me into the Master, I got into every other Major. I played well once I won. Things went a little crazy when I got back to the States. There’s been adversity in my life … but it’s pretty weird to win and be hated,” Varner stated.
The American golfer then went on to state that PGA Tour is like a dysfunctional family.
“It’s sad, sometimes. I just laugh. I like playing golf, these guys (on the LIV Golf tour) are a lot of fun, it’s cool that we hang out, we do things that we don’t do as much on PGA Tour,” Varner said.
“I think it’s … they call the PGA Tour a ‘family’. But you leave that family and become hated. In a real family, no matter what your son does, or your daughter does, you take care of them. It’s just not that way(with the PGA Tour).”
Although he was pretty calm and composed while answering all the questions during the press conference, the golf website ” Golf Digest” went on to caption his quote with “Things got deep in @HV3_Golf’s press conference today. ?”
However, the golfer was quick to dismiss the allegations and quoted their Tweet with “They didn’t.” He also then went on to reply to one user who accused the website of writing these captions just to get clicks. He wrote: “They are brilliant at doing that. Practice BS long enough you become good at it.”
