Girls vs Fast Cars: Alpha males Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia fought a POISONOUS war
Sergio Garcia (L) and Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia are both accomplished names in golf and two males who love their swanky cars and beautiful women alike. While Woods has achieved much more in terms of victories, Garcia too has his own following because of his consistency on both the PGA and DP World Tours, having now joined LIV golf of course!
Even the 46-year-old Woods for that matter is said to have received an $800 million offer from the Saudi-backed LIV league and we may see a situation where both of them collide once again. I can tell you the history is not good at all between these two alphas! Let’s explore more.
The feud is said to have begun on August 28, 2000 when Woods won the Firestone event with a massive 11-shot differential. Considering the domination in that event prior, Woods did not enjoy how Garcia tried to spoil his party by later over-celebrating in a friendly 18-hole matchup between the two, that was made as an extra for TV audiences.

Will Tiger Woods join LIV golf despite war of words with chairman Greg Norman?
Recently, Woods expressed his unhappiness over former regular on the PGA Tour, Greg Norman going on to join the Saudi-rich LIV league as chairman, helping it with both ideation and management.
The PGA has continuously alleged that the LIV league is nothing but an eyewash from Saudi authorities to try and turn the attention away from the alleged crimes on humanity they have been committing through sports.
“I know Greg tried to do this (organize a breakaway tour) back in the early ‘90s. It didn’t work then, and he’s trying to make it work now. I still don’t see how that’s in the best interests of the game,” Woods had told news.com.au in July. “What the European Tour and what the PGA TOUR stands for and what they’ve done, as well as the governing bodies of the game and the Major championships … I think they see it differently than what Greg sees it.”
“Greg has done some things I don’t think are in the best interests of golf. We’re coming back to probably the most historical place and it (not inviting Norman) was the right thing,” added Woods.
This year, British Open organizers followed the US Open in allowing LIV Golf players to compete at St Andrews, as the PGA Tour and DP World Tour are moving to ban them. This means that the likes of Sergio Garcia, Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson were allowed to play despite being associated with LIV.
