Ian Poulter, a seasoned English golfer, has gone on a huge rant. He would take to his Instagram account to attack ‘two-faced’ LIV Golf critics for their sudden U-turn on their stance regarding the PIF-funded tour following the shocking reversal of Rory McIlroy.
The English golfer, who is a member of LIV Golf, would blast these critics. He would though thank McIlroy for his words and applaud him. Recently, the former World No.1 shockingly admitted that he might have been a little judgmental towards the breakaway tour.
While reflecting on this sudden turn of events, the 48-year-old English golfer hit out at those who suddenly changed their views on them. Poulter would further call this as a “terrible trait“.
Being two faced is a terrible trait. I’d be embarrassed having to change my story now and come out and try and look smart... Enough of the bulls***.Ian Poulter to two-faced LIV Golf critics on Instagram.
Since the inception of LIV Golf, several golf personalities have called them out for trying to bring a change in traditional golf. However, the words of McIlroy have eased down tension a little bit between the players of the two tours, with the likes of Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson both supporting the Irish golfer.
Ian Poulter applauds Rory McIlroy for reversal on LIV Golf
The start of 2024 saw a massive development take place when Rory McIlroy changed his views on LIV Golf. In an interview with soccer greats Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher, the North Irish golfer seemingly apologized for this previous remarks on the Saudi-funded tour.
Ian Poulter is now the latest marquee name to applaud him for this statement. While he applauded him for this, he would go on a fierce rant against those LIV Golf critics who followed his steps.
Taking to his Instagram account he would blast the others who were now trying to become heroes all of a sudden by changing their stance on LIV Golf.
Just for clarity, I applaud @rorymcilroy for his comments a few weeks ago. It takes a lot to say the things he said… It’s the others who blatantly choose to try and NOW become hero’s all of a sudden. You have to be kidding me.

Poulter, considered one of the greatest Ryder Cup players, was among the first batch of players who left their respective tours for play for LIV Golf. The English golfer currently co-captains the side Majesticks GC along with Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson.
As the date for the new season gets closer, Poulter and his team would be hoping for a much better performance than last season. Their team was unable to win any event and finished second to bottom in the regular season standings.
