Jena Sims, the wife of PGA star Brooks Koepka, shared how they maintain a strong relationship despite their hectic schedules, successful careers, and new roles as parents. As a new mom, Sims, 34, and Koepka, 33, prioritize their partnership while juggling their demanding jobs and caring for their newborn son, Crew, born on July 27.
The couple, who began dating in 2017 and tied the knot in June 2022, is a perfect example of balancing love, work, and family. Jena revealed in an exclusive interview that balancing parenthood and demanding careers with her partner, Brooks, required a lot of effort from both ends.
As per the popular personality herself, dedicating alone time, despite the difficulty of leaving their baby, is the key to maintaining their strong romance. They have taken one trip without a crew. She further described how difficult it was to part with him, but their focus had to be on their relationship. She said:
I think the biggest misconception is that I don’t work. And that couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s funny, I have some people telling me, ‘You need to just subdue yourself…’ And then I have other people going, ‘She doesn’t work, she just wants to spend his money.’ And I’m like, ‘Y’all have no idea.’ I’ve been working hard.
Continuing further, she added:
I’ve supported myself as an actress in LA for all of my 20s. I’ve probably shot over 200 TV commercials since moving to Florida. I work as an influencer on Instagram. I know people might not consider that to be a job, ‘cause I don’t sit behind a desk all day. But’s a job. I make great money.
Jena believes that she and Brooks are the leaders of their family, and it is crucial that both are happy and have a healthy relationship so Crew can witness that and be raised by two loving parents.
Jena clarified that Brooks has to travel frequently for golf tournaments. While she does not enjoy him being away so much, she and Crew have a nice routine when he is gone. She joked that sometimes when Brooks comes home, she is almost annoyed because they have to alter things.
Jena Sims wants to start taking the baby to Brooks Koepka’s matches
Jena Sims revealed that she intends to start bringing her infant son to her husband’s golf matches, explaining that she wants the baby to become accustomed to traveling with them. She described bringing the child to Koepka’s recent event in Miami as enjoyable, despite Koepka not winning the tournament.
When asked if she feels pressure being married to such a successful professional golfer, Sims insisted the couple simply supports each other in their respective endeavors. The individual expressed that they and their spouse remain focused on their interests and always offer each other encouragement.
Despite the public’s belief that her passion for sports comes from her partner, she desires acknowledgment for her accomplishments. The model and former Miss Georgia Teen USA, who recently joined the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2024 Rookie class, has always dreamed of that achievement.
