The hits just keeping on coming for Joaquin Niemann. The Chilean golfer has been in stunning form this year and showcased it once again as he claimed his second LIV Golf title of the 2024 season following an impressive win in Jeddah.
The 25-year-old took home the prize in Mayakoba through a four-round playoff victory against Sergio Garcia. This time though he did not need off this as he dominated from the start.

Niemann continued his resilient form while shooting 4-under 66 on Round three. This enabled him to finish 17-under for the tournament and four strokes ahead Louis Oosthuizen (67) and Charl Schwartzel (68), who both finished 13-under.
The top five rankings were completed by Crushers GC captain Bryson DeChambeau and Legion XIII’s leader Jon Rahm who came fourth and fifth. Rahm started off strong on Round two but eventually dropped down the rankings as the event progressed on.
Is Joaquin Niemann the most in-form player in the world right now?
At the moment, there seems to be no stopping Joaquin Niemann. The Torque GC captain bagged a hefty sum of $4 million for the second time in space of month following his victory at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club at LIV Jeddah.
The golfer’s recent form suggests him to be one of the most in-form players in the world. Before the start of the 2024 season, he emerged as the winner of the Australian Open in December.

Apart from this, he was also seen competing on the Asian Tour during their Oman International Series. In that event, he finished third as his teammate Carlos Ortiz took home the crown that day.
He has now labeled his win as a “huge” achievement and is now looking forward to the next event in Hong Kong, a week later.
It’s huge... I mean obviously we’ve got another week to come next week. I told myself that I can probably win these three weeks that I'm playing overseas, and this is a good start!Joaquin Niemann on his victory.
Only time will tell whether he will make it three wins out of four in Hong Kong. After that event though, he will firmly turn his attention to the Masters tournament after receiving an invite from them. Needless to say, Niemann is probably every golf fans’ top pick to win an event at the moment.
