The Golf US Open is currently underway at the Country Club in Brookline. The golf world has seen the tension this week, as the LIV Golf series defectors came together to play with the PGA Tour Players. However, at the moment it is Collin Morikawa and Joel Dahmen leading after round two, while Jon Rahm stands right after them at T3.
The defending champion had quite the misfortune in the opening round on the 18th hole of the course. He closed out with a birdie on 18 to card a one-under 69 in a solid start to his title defence. The world no. 2 however, did have his share of trouble, after 2 boys stole his ball when Rahm drove it left off the tee.

Jon Rahm gets free drop, avoids severe mishap at Golf US Open
Speaking in the post round conference, Rahm said, “I’m just really happy somebody spotted the ball first. We knew exactly where it was. After the free relief, I had 135 yards to the pin, in an area where the rough wasn’t that thick. I don’t think they expected anybody to hit it there or be around there.”
“I’m pretty sure I know who it was. I recognised the two kids that were running the opposite way with a smile on their face. I am 100% sure I saw the two kids that stole it,” according to yahoo.com. However, Jon Rahm was in luck as he got a free drop after fans around him saw where the ball had dropped. Rahm then brushed off any more bad luck, as he went on t finish the round on a high.
