Jon Rahm is one of the best players in the field of golf. The Spaniard currently reigns at the top of the PGA World rankings. He has won numerous tournaments including the Masters a week ago. His list of achievements and accolades is a big one. Recently he was spotted participating at the RBC Heritage. It’s not his participation, it’s his part as a commentator that has taken everyone by surprise.

On mic duty, Rahm showed his gratitude toward the fan. He joined and offered more than 20 minutes to the CBS Broadcast team. He gave some insights regarding the development of the tournament. He would go on to offer his analysis regarding Patrick Cantlay‘s game and dish out details about Matt Fitzpatrick thinking of outshining Jordan Speith to win the tournament.

Rahm started off with a hilarious note stating that commentating is not his full-time job. “Well it is not my full time job to commentate on golf,” Rahm said.

When asked about how he planned to celebrate his Masters‘ win, he informed me that it will take place in his home in Scottsdale. He also said that he will likely try to keep it down and avoid touching the club till Wednesday.

Working as a commentator could prove to be a major task. It is not uncommon for former players to take up the job as a commentator and add their expertise to the game. One has to be careful with his words and phrases while carrying out the job of commentating.

Well, Jon Rahm is a great player and with the looks of it, he has probably found or at least got an experience for a future commentator job. His natural ability to commentate and his goodwill to extend the period have certainly won the fan’s hearts. Here are some reactions from Twitter.

Speaking of the RBC Heritage, Rahm was clearly exhausted from last week’s triumph. The 87th Masters Champion. After an underwhelming first round presentation, Rahm got back into the game and made his way all the way to a T15 finish. Matt Fitzpatrick took the crown home as he defeated the RBC Heritage defending champion Jordan Speith in an intense play-off round.
