The 2023 PNC Championship ground has already been set with a challenging atmosphere garnered with fun and banter along the way. The pair leading the space this time is once again Tiger Woods‘s son Charlie Woods and 15x PGA champion Justin Thomas.
Their playful tap started with Thomas praising the 14-year-old during Friday’s practice round. When asked what the pro golfer thinks of the young ‘Tiger’ he stated, “…it’s impressive…He can do some great stuff with the ball.”

Thomas acknowledged Charlie’s capabilities as a golfer. He said the young golfer has started to “develop those skills” and it’s showing enormous results on the scoreboard. Both of them took the PNC Championship field alongside Mike Thomas, and Tiger Woods as partners.

Justin Thomas has seen Charlie Woods grow while playing the game. The two have known each other for quite some time and often shared some humorous fun moments between them. The fans also cannot help but recall, Charlie’s take on Thomas during the 2020 PNC event.
He left a note on the 13th hole, penned as “Draw hole” and later even made a money symbol with his fingers as he walked for the putt. The pair trolled each other the entire game and it became one of the favorite fan moments. Even this 2023 event has been colored with fun jabs and banters between the two.

As fun, as it has been for the fans to witness the lively exchanges between Justin Thomas and Charlie Woods, the young golfer’s growth was also one of the things that the fans didn’t miss out on. Since his first debut in 2020 at PNC Championship, the youngster has been growing tremendously.
Even his father the golf legend Tiger Woods couldn’t help but comment, “He’s growing so fast.” Woods commented on how much “he’s grown from last year” both physically and professionally. Woods recalled some of their moments together stating it’s “amazing” how much as a golfer Charlie has grown.

But Charlie’s performance is not the only thing that hooked the fans to the event. Tiger Woods’s daughter Sam Alexis Woods has also made her debut on the greens as his dad’s caddie. Many stated that it was like watching a family event as two of Woods’ kids walked onto the greens.

Sam has cheered for Woods from the sidelines a lot of times, but it was her first time caddying for his father and being right by Charlie in the PNC Championship. The picture of Woods loving his time with his two kids has made the fan’s hearts flutter with joy. It’s left to see what more memories the event will sew prior to its end.
