As the golf season rolls on, history was made at the Farmers Insurance Open 2024. Matthieu Pavon, a French golfer emerged victorious. This win saw him become the first Frenchman to claim a PGA Tour win in over 100 years.
The 31-year-old kept his cool in the end to grab the victory. A birdie on the final hole saw him finish one-stroke ahead of Nicolai Højgaard. He would wrap up the win while being 13 under par for the tournament.

Pavon is now the first French star since Arnaud Massy to claim victory at a PGA Tour event. Massy’s win came all the way back in 1907, around 117 years ago. Following this historic win, the golfer claimed he it was a dream come true for him.
