The fan trolled Homa’s off-shot tee with his affiliations to using drugs prior to the game. Given Homa’s personality, he gave a witty reply noting, “Should have drug tested it prior to the round.” Homa ended the tournament with 1-under 71 on Sunday.

In a clip, a reporter asked Homa about his accidental 14-hole shot and if he felt that the fans should distance themselves from the ropes. The 33-year-old replied that mostly they are asked to move back a bit, and they oblige with the request. At TPC Sawgrass, when Homa asked them to move back, “they backed up their usual three or four steps,” but “should have probably asked them to move more.”

He stated that he wanted to go higher but the ball nearly hit inches above the fan’s head. Max Homa said he felt relaxed as he heard some fans laughing. “It gave some people a good story,” he commented. Regardless, it’s a relief to know that the fans are safe and no one was hurt during this incident. Homa was relieved by the good news and admitted to being careful from now onwards.
