Міn Wоо Lее opens up about one ‘bad swing’ that left him short from glory
Min Woo Lee has been one of the top rising stars in golf. In his short PGA Tour career so far, the Australian golfer has left many impressed with his skills. Despite this, he is not so impressed with himself as one ‘bad swing‘ left him short of PGA Tour glory.
Prior to his appearance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Lee was seen taking part in the Cognizant Classic. In fact his performance there was a major reason why he was appearing at this signature event.
The 25-year-old finished tied for second in at the PGA National course last week, three shots behind eventual winner Austin Eckroat. At one stage, he was in contention for the title until that one ‘bad swing’ changed it all.
At some par-3 holes, Lee would miss several shots which saw him tumble down the standings. In the end this become the major reason for his second place finish.
Really proud of the way I handled myself this week. Obviously bad swing on six when I made a double bogey on the par-3, which stung. I was off to a hot start there, and that kind of put me back.
Min Woo Lee on his performance as per WWOS.
Lee is now hoping to end his appearance at the API strongly. After shooting scores of 69 and 73 to start the two rounds and make the cut, he shoot a score of 4-over 76. In the final round, he will surely have his eyes sets on wrapping the event by finishing in top 25 at least.
