Colombian Sebastian Munoz and Chilean Mito Pereira have officially signed onto the LIV Golf Series, and are no longer a part of the PGA Tour. The LIV Series has been gearing up for its 2023 season, and these are the first hits of the year.
Sebastian Munoz and Mito Pereira are rumoured to be the next golfers to make the switch to the LIV Series. They are expected to join Joaquin Niemann’s team, the Tourques. Both golfers are currently a part of the PGA Tour, and will give up their membership to play LIV Golf.
Munoz, although ranked 97th, has a PGA Win to his name. He has also finished in the Top 20 of the US Open and the Masters. Pereira on the other hand was a third place finisher at last year’s US Open, where he gave Will Zalatoris and Justin Thomas a tough fight.

Both the players will be joining Joaquin Niemann’s Torque GC, along with David Puig as their teammate. Brooks Koepka now has a new team Smash GC, along with Jason Kokrak, Chase Koepka and Matthew Wolff. The Majesticks, co captained by Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter have Lee Westwood and Sam Horsfield on the team.
All things aside, the PGA Tour is doing quite well in its own right. The 2023 Phoenix Open just came to an end, with Scottie Scheffler taking a glorious win and defending his title. The next location on the list is the Genesis Invitational, where 23 of the top 25 golfers will be making an appearance.
Also making an appearance will be Tiger Woods. He will be making a comeback after an 8 month long break, after he missed the cut at St. Andrews. However, the LIV Series is also coming in strong with its second season, new golfers and new team- and it will certainly be exciting to see.
