Norman reacts as Jon Rahm expresses views on Eugenio’s great victory on record

Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm played an incredible shot to match the three-time winning record at Open de España of compatriot and legend Seve Ballesteros. He played his 62 final round at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid to secure once in a lifetime ad record-breaking win.
Jon Rahm not only displayed great sportsmanship but stole hearts with a congratulatory speech for Eugenio Chacarra who earlier in the day, secured a great victory himself. Chacarra made it to a massive $4 million by topping the leaderboards at the LIV Golf Invitational Bangkok.
Rahm with his class win and class speech definitely stormed the internet with loads of praises for his support of the LIV Golfer. He has previously expressed his views regarding the not-so-traditional LIV format earlier but does not seem to appeal to him.

Jon Rahm doesn’t find the shotgun format appealing enough

When asked about his views on the multimillion-dollar series, Jon Rahm stated, “ format (of LIV Golf) is not really appealing to me,” adding “shotgun (starts) three days to me is not a golf tournament, no cut. It’s that simple. I want to play against the best in the world in a format that’s been going on for hundreds of years. That’s what I want to see.”
Jon Rahm’s congratulatory speech though spoke about how he had immense respect for a 22-year-old golfer being at the top of his game and nearly entering an era of his own. “Although some people want to make us look at them (LIV) as the enemy, he is just a 22-year-old guy winning against some of the best players in the world. Congratulations if you see this Eugenio.” – Rahm wrote on Twitter.
Greg Norman posted a clip of Jon Rahm stating that the golf community needed more of support and understanding, writing – “This is what professional golf should be all about, Thank you @JonRahmpga for your classy message.“
