Paige Spiranac is an American YouTube golf instructor with over 260,000 subscribers and 3.3 million instagram followers. Spiranac has played division 1 golf, and has won honours over the 2012–13 and 2013–14 season. Spiranac is not scared to make her Instagram presence known, as she is often seen posting fiery photos on the social media platform.
Recently then, Spiranac has added another accomplishment to her resume- she has been named Maxim’s Sexiest Woman Alive. Maxim officially crowned Spiranac the golf star the ‘hottest on the planet’ in its latest “Hot 100” edition on Thursday. “When I got the call,” she added, “I kept asking them, ‘are you sure?’ because I was truly in disbelief,” she said. However, she faced a lot of criticism with trolls hitting out at her.

Paige Spiranac faces backlash after Sexiest woman alive title
Paige revealed that she received a lot of hate after the event, as people called her ‘fat and ugly’. She took to her podcast to talk about the event, saying that she had faced her ‘highs and lows of emotions’ with her fans. “So I’m already feeling a bit insecure about everything and then you have thousands of people being like ‘you’re ugly, you’re fat, you’re this, you’re that’,” she said.
Talking about her haters on her podcast, she said according to the Sun, “What people don’t prepare you for, is when they name you the ‘sexiest woman alive’, you have hundreds of thousands of people telling you why you SHOULDN’T be the sexiest woman alive. I mean it’s such an exciting thing..and I don’t think everyone should say ‘she is the sexiest woman alive’. I don’t even think that I am!”
