Paige Spiranac has never been one to hide away from controversies and has once again found herself in the middle of Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas’ tampon prank. While at first, she enjoyed the GOAT’s savage move on his partner Thomas, the golf world gave out mixed signals on the topic.

While some vehemently protested and called out Tiger on his move, some found it funny and just laughed. Paige seems to be in the latter category. Not only did she send out a savage reply after the incident, but she also defended her adversary on social media after the “sexist prank” on Thomas.

The whole incident was supposed to be a joke between two pals, but some fans took offense to it. It’s Woods’ first appearance in 2023 after his broken 2022-year performance. Following his accident and injury he has not been able to perform in golf events all the time.

Marking his fresh return at Genesis International, Tiger Woods didn’t only find himself standing on fresh greens, but also in midst of fresh scrutiny from fans all around social media. After almost effortlessly driving past Justin Thomas on Hole 9 on Thursday, the GOAT passed a tampon to his partner JT. 

Some called out his move as an “embarrassingly immature sexist prank”, while social media sensation Paige Spiranac thought it was funny and jumped out in defense of the GOAT. Spiranac posted a tweet noting, “I need a LIV vs PGA tour Ryder cup type event just so Tiger can give Phil a tampon after out driving him”. 

According to Paige, she would love to see Woods recreating this moment against Phil Mickelson. Though some fans didn’t think it was funny and called Woods out for his actions, Paige tweeted, “If anyone tries to cancel Tiger over this we riot”. “It’s funny.” 

As for now, neither Woods nor Thomas has commented about this incident. Following the handling of the tampon incident, Thomas instantly threw the product away while Woods burst out in laughter. Woods went in for a hug as the two friends walked on the field laughing about it. 

Rory McIlroy also played alongside Woods and Thomas, and the three seemed to be needling each other throughout Woods’ first-day appearance. Woods commented, “It was a great round.” 

“The ebb and flow of needling each other, encouraging each other and telling stories. Because I hadn’t been out here so I’ve missed some of the things that have transpired on tour, which is kind of fun.”
