Spiranac was quick to congratulate Thomas on his fantastic victory at the PGA Championship. Yet, she said that it would be difficult to win back to back since he was exhausted, and eliminated from the challenge. “It is hard to pick a player after a major championship because you want someone who has the momentum and confidence, but isn’t exhausted,” said Spiranac in a twitter post. She went on to eliminate Will Zalatoris as well, saying that he would be equally as exhausted.

Spiranac then moved on to her top picks for the Challenge. She first named Kevin Kisner, Tom Hoge and Abraham Ancer as her top favourites to win the challenge. Then, for the top 10 she recommended the names of Tommy Fleetwood, David Riley. Finally for the top 20, Scott Stallings and Kevin Strollman were her choice of golfers.
